Do More In Less Time

As an internet marketer staying productive can be difficult. If you really want to push your business forward you really have to be working on it constantly, but how do you do it, especially if you have limited time to take action? The answer is to do more in less time! Sounds good, but how do you achieve it exactly?


1. Get the difficult things over with first.

We’ve all been there – that particular task that you simply hate doing or the one you’re not very good at. The truth is that if you don’t enjoy doing something it’ll take you more time to do it and you’ll be less productive doing other stuff just because ‘you know you’ve still got it to do.’ Get the difficult things over with first and then you can free your mind to do the other tasks.

2. Create an action plan for the day

It sounds incredibly cheesy and like something out of the worst kind of self motivation books, but creating a plan of action for the day really can help you stay productive and do more in less time. It’s easy to waste the day away checking your emails, looking at your stats, visiting your favourite forums, etc. Get into the habit of creating an action plan or ‘to do’ list at the start of each day. Prioritise the tasks and work your way through them until you’re done.

3. Outsource the items you hate

As we have already touched on, the chances are is that if you don’t enjoy doing a task you won’t be good at getting it done quickly. Outsource the tasks you hate so that you can better spend your time doing the things you’ll be truly productive at. Utilise the skill set of other people – employ an expert and they’ll not only be able to get it done quicker but they will probably make a better job of it too.
All this relates back to time management and utilising your time.

Know what you’re good at. Know what you’re bad at, and most importantly know what you need to get done. Doing more in less time really can be achieved if you work hard at it.
